The fact is that most people who invest in Real Estate as an investor will never make a dime. This is due to a lack of support and any real system to real estate speculation. They are a beginner investing.
What I like to call beginner investing is that guy who heard about the Real Estate market and wants to get in. Yep thats a beginner and he's investing. Right now he's only investing his mental energy and a few late nights of research. Once the real money is on the line he will be invested in a different kind of way. This is when the metal hits the road. And yes the title fits because after all he's just that... a beginner investing. If you are serious about becoming a real estate investor then there is a lot of research ahead for you. However if you take the time and read the information and can follow instructions... Then yes you too can become a real estate investor. The trick is to become a profitable one! This is where franchising is so important. To follow a system that works in the current market is a sure fire way to get similar results. To just jump in the waters head first by yourself is a surefire way to end up like so many other investors (embarrassed) to family and friends, wasted time, energy and a pile of debt). Yeah these aren't the investors people write about but unfortunately they are the masses. Most people unfortunately are willing to cut a check without doing research. The real trick however is to know exactly what kind of research to do! How about applying the same type of discipline used in fundamental stock analysis. Be prepared with information and be absolutely clear on what exactly you will be doing. Many investors think they are going to have the luxury of being a "passive" investor. Unfortunately what usually happens is just the opposite. New investors usually fail because they try to "improve the wheel". They seem to lack the ability to sit on the sidelines and let the system work! I did this myself for years. Fortunately investing in real estate is so darn simple it's rediculious. In prior times Real Estate Investors always seemed to end up with a hammer in there hand and an empty bank account. Here's your first hint....."Your business partner is going to be a contractor".
